“ Everything about papusas matter the cheese, moisture in the masa to how much is packed with the filling. I know of several locations I prefer to eat or order from, BUT let me tell you, this place Los cheros pupuseria ARE MADE from scratch, made to order they are one of the best I have tasted. Can choose from 7 different kinds and so soft and cheesy and hot. These women do an exceptional job with papusa. So delicious and Salas is good and cabbage is good I already ate there twice ”
“ The food is great. They kind of have a s3cret menu going on with the nachos which are fire. Just recommend to order ahead of time. ”
“ My first time here and I ordered 2 different kinds of pupusas.... Did not disappoint and came out hot and fresh.. made to order! Not much seating... there are a couple tables and booths inside and out. I'll definitely come back to try other items on the menu. Close to home and plenty of parking. ”
“ This small place has a very chill atmosphere. When I arrived, it wasn't busy at all, with some booths, mostly tables, and a few tables outside. It's a relaxed spot, perfect for a casual meal. The pupusas were a pleasant surprise. They're often critiqued for being heavy and overly cheesy, but these ones, though cheesy, felt light because they weren't overly bready. Even after sharing three whole ones between two people, it didn't feel heavy at all. The chile pupusa was really good, though the one with chicharrón wasn't for me. I've realized I'm not much of a meaty pupusa person in general, but overall, this place is solid, and I'd definitely come back. The curtido wasn't as spicy as I'd like, so I'd recommend asking for a spicier version if that's your thing. But it was nicely acidic, which I loved--it really cuts through the carbs and fat. The horchata was solid, though I'm not much of a Salvadoran horchata person, so it didn't stand out for me. But for those who enjoy it, I think you'll like it. Support this business--yay! ”
“ We were lucky enough to get there when it wasn't as packed! We sat down right after ordering! I love me a pupusa with cheese leaking out and touches the griddle - you know you're about to bite on the best part of the pupusa. I live near El Salvador Corridor in LA, a street bustling with Salvadorean goods and street food, but this is definitely one of the better pupuserias I've had recently! I really enjoy how the shell isn't as thick as the ones I've had around LA so you're able to enjoy the filling. I also appreciate how the filling is very generous but not overwhelming that they take away the flavor and experience. I just wish they had spicy curtido; they gave us spicy sauce to mix with it but it didn't satisfy the craving. Will definitely recommend it to those who are in search of good pupusas. ”
